This early Legion-marked Arsenal SGL-21 is a Russian-built, Arsenal Las Vegas–converted rifle with clear Izhevsk origins and import markings. Its 2009 trunnion date places it squarely in the pre-sanctions era, and it retains hallmark Russian features including a cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel and AK-74–type muzzle brake on the 24x1.5 mm RH front-sight-base interface. Imported and converted by Arsenal Las Vegas, this SGL-21 carries the Izhevsk circled arrow proof along with LEGION IZHEVSK RUSSIA, ARSENAL LAS VEGAS NV USA, and SAIGA 7,62x39 markings. The 2009 trunnion date and pre-2014 import timeline underscore its pre-ban status and Russian manufacture.
The rifle uses a 16.3 in Russian cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel with a 24x1.5 mm RH front-sight-base muzzle interface. It is fitted with an AK-74–type two-chamber brake and retains a bayonet lug. A 90-degree gas block and the long-stroke gas piston, rotating-bolt operating system support its standard AKM-pattern configuration.
It features a stamped, dimpled AK-pattern receiver with a smooth AK-100-series top cover. Furniture includes a fixed Warsaw-length polymer stock with a 12.5 in length of pull and a right-side rear sling swivel, a polymer pistol grip, and polymer handguards with a ribbed lower section.
Iron sights consist of a hooded front post and an adjustable tangent rear sight with Cyrillic graduations. Controls include a manual safety selector. Capacity is 30+1, and this example includes three steel 30-round magazines. The bolt carrier matches the receiver by the last three digits.
