Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight 12 Gauge Pump-Action Shotgun, 30 inch Full Choke, 1952, Blued, Factory Game-Scene Engraved
Post-war 1952 production Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight with a 30 inch plain barrel and fixed Full choke, factory roll-engraved game scenes, and the Model 37's hallmark bottom-eject/bottom-load design. It is slam-fire capable via the pre-disconnector trigger and features a 4+1 tubular magazine, 2 3/4 inch chamber, and classic hardwood furniture.
The bottom-eject/bottom-load layout provides ambidextrous operation and a clean receiver profile. A fluted/milled sighting channel on the top of the receiver pairs with a single front bead for straightforward sight alignment. The 30 inch plain, non-ribbed barrel with fixed Full choke is purpose-built for tight patterns.
Factory roll-engraved hunting scenes adorn both sides of the blued steel receiver. The barrel carries an oval PROOF TESTED stamp and a PATENT NO. 1,849,982 marking, reflecting Ithaca's period manufacturing details. The blued finish extends across the receiver and barrel.
The hardwood stock is checkered with a pistol-grip profile and capped by an Ithaca-marked black hard-rubber buttplate. A grooved corncob hardwood fore-end provides a secure grasp. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
Mechanically, this Model 37 retains the pre-disconnector trigger system and is slam-fire capable. Takedown is tool-less via the knurled magazine cap. Made in the United States, this Featherlight represents a classic configuration from the post-war era.
