The SAR 2000 uses an all-steel construction with steel sights and controls, giving it a solid, duty-ready feel. It is built around a CZ-75-pattern slide-in-frame layout and features a 4.5 in barrel within full-size dimensions (approximately 8 in overall length and 5.5 in height). Its operating system is a DA/SA, short-recoil, locked-breech action. A frame-mounted manual thumb safety is provided. The hammer is a ring-style spur, and the slide has rear serrations for confident manipulation.
