This post-WWII Zastava M48A is a Yugoslav Mauser built on the intermediate-length 98-type action and marked with the national crest and Cyrillic factory/state designations. It features a blued finish, a full-length hardwood stock, and iron sights calibrated to 2,000 meters. The bore is excellent, and the rifle comes with a Yugoslav M48 bayonet and scabbard, leather sling, stripper clips, and two reference manuals.

The M48A uses the Yugoslav intermediate-length Mauser 98-type action with controlled-round feed. It feeds from a 5-round internal magazine and is loaded via stripper clips, aligning with the service pattern of the M48 series. The receiver and bolt are forged/machined, with A-series stamped components such as the floorplate.
The barrel measures approximately 23.25 inches, and overall length is about 43.5 inches. Sighting is via a hooded inverted-V front and a V-notch tangent rear sight adjustable to 2,000 meters. The rifle retains its H-style front band, bayonet lug with nose cap, and the cleaning rod is present.
The full-length hardwood stock has a left-side sling slot and a cupped steel buttplate. Metal parts wear a traditional blued finish, including the steel receiver.
Markings include the Yugoslav socialist coat of arms crest over "M48A" on the receiver, the Cyrillic state mark "ФНРЈ" (FNRJ), the factory mark "ПРЕДУЗЕЋЕ 44" (Preduzeće 44), and inspection stamps on the sight base. The rifle bears the C.A.I. GEORGIA VT import mark.
