The PX9 is a purpose-built AR-9 pistol with a straight blowback operating system, a compact 4-inch threaded barrel, and right-side ejection. The slick-side upper omits a forward assist and ejection port cover, keeping the profile streamlined.
It uses Glock-pattern magazines and includes an enlarged, bridged Glock-pattern magazine-catch linkage for secure engagement. Capacity is 31+1 with the included 31-round magazines. Controls include a manual safety with SAFE/FIRE pictographs and a Magpul polymer pistol grip.
The free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard provides rigid accessory mounting with a continuous top Picatinny rail for optics or sights. The handguard is marked MADE IN USA, and the receiver carries PSA's crossed-cannons logo. The PSA bolt/BCG is marked 'G4-9'.
Construction is aluminum with a matte black finish. A pistol receiver extension supports an adjustable stabilizing brace with a Velcro strap, offering secure forearm indexing while maintaining a compact footprint.
