The Guardian's CCO-type configuration combines a Commander-length 4.25 inch slide with an Officer-size bobtail frame, offering a trim carry profile with enhanced control. The front strap and mainspring housing are checkered, and the edges are dehorned for smooth handling.
The slide wears Dan Wesson's Duty black finish and is cut with rear cocking serrations only. A lowered and flared ejection port supports reliable ejection. The barrel uses a standard bushing setup with a knurled recoil spring plug, and the model carries the "Guardian" rollmark.
Sighting is fast and straightforward with fixed 3-dot night sights: an AmeriGLO H3 tritium front sight paired with a low-profile, dovetailed two-dot rear.
Controls follow the single-action 1911 format, including a single-side manual thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with a memory bump. The pistol features a checkered magazine release, a solid, serrated short trigger with an overtravel adjustment screw, and a skeletonized Commander-style hammer.
