Winchester Model 94 Classic .30-30 Lever-Action Rifle, 26-Inch Octagon Barrel, Factory Scroll-Engraved, 1967
Winchester’s Model 94 Classic is a non-commemorative, upscale variant produced circa 1967–1970, and this example was manufactured in 1967 in New Haven, Connecticut. It features a 26-inch octagon steel barrel, full-length tubular magazine with a 9+1 capacity, and factory perimeter scroll engraving on both receiver panels. The barrel is marked "Model 94 Winchester Classic," and the rifle retains hallmark Model 94 elements including a top-eject receiver, standard loop lever, and a gold-colored loading gate.

This rifle shows widespread marks and blemishes across the metal surfaces, with typical age and handling wear seen on older firearms. The walnut stock and rifle-style fore-end display various dents, gouges, and honest wear from years of regular field use and storage. Small areas of rust or pitting are present along exposed surfaces. These cosmetic imperfections are consistent with regular use and do not indicate structural issues.
What’s Included
- Soft case
Produced during the Classic series run, this rifle combines traditional Model 94 handling with distinctive touches. The factory-applied perimeter scroll engraving on both sides of the receiver provides a refined visual element while remaining true to Winchester’s production work of the era.
The 26-inch octagon steel barrel and full-length tubular magazine (9+1) deliver the long-barreled, rifle-length configuration sought after in Classic-series guns. The top-eject receiver, standard loop lever, and external hammer with spur retain the familiar Model 94 operating feel.
Sighting is handled by open irons: a dovetailed blade front paired with a semi-buckhorn rear with elevator. Stock geometry includes a straight-grip walnut buttstock with a 13.5-inch length of pull, a rifle-style walnut fore-end with a steel fore-end cap, and a checkered steel shotgun-style buttplate.
Finished in bluing throughout, this example also features a gold-colored loading gate and the correct barrel marking "Model 94 Winchester Classic." Built in New Haven, Connecticut, it reflects the period’s U.S. manufacture and the Classic series’ non-commemorative, upgraded presentation.
