Built during the 1998–2006 U.S. Repeating Arms era, this rifle is marked Made in New Haven, Connecticut. It uses the Model 70 push-feed system with a recessed bolt face, small hook extractor, and plunger ejector. A three-position wing safety provides familiar Model 70 handling.
The 26-inch sporter-contour barrel is configured without iron sights. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and this rifle comes fitted with two-piece scope bases, rings, and a Tasco 3-9x40 scope using a duplex reticle for a clear, uncluttered sight picture.
Chambered in 7mm Rem. Mag., the rifle feeds from a 4-round blind internal magazine with no floorplate. The combination of a long 26-inch barrel and magnum chambering makes effective use of the cartridge’s ballistics.
