This full-size 9mm double-stack 1911 DS Prodigy features Springfield Armory's Agency Optic System (AOS) plate interface, a forged-steel build with black Cerakote, and a 5 inch bushingless match-grade forged stainless-steel bull barrel. It comes in excellent condition and includes both 20-round and 17-round magazines along with factory cases.

The forged carbon-steel slide and forged steel receiver wear a uniform black Cerakote finish, with front and rear slide serrations for confident manipulation. A full-length dustcover with an integrated Picatinny accessory rail adds rigidity and mounting space, and the double-stack DS architecture incorporates an integrally flared magwell opening for smooth magazine changes.
The 5 inch match-grade, bushingless bull barrel is forged from stainless steel and paired with a 1:16 twist for 9mm. This setup is designed to run cleanly and lock up consistently, contributing to the strong bore condition noted.
Controls are classic single-action, hammer-fired 1911: an ambidextrous thumb safety and grip safety, a long three-hole trigger, and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. The polymer double-stack grip module uses a wraparound texture that promotes a secure hold without adding bulk.
Sight configuration includes a single-dot front blade and a serrated square-notch rear mounted to the removable AOS plate. The AOS modular interface with its integral rear sight provides a robust mounting foundation while retaining usable iron sights. Markings include "PRODIGY," "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY," "DS" on the dustcover, and "SI GENESEO IL USA." Made in the USA, this Prodigy includes both 20-round and 17-round magazines for a 20+1 capacity setup out of the box.
