The S 100 Atacama is built around a 3-lug bolt with a 60-degree lift for fast cycling and reliable lock-up. A user-adjustable single-stage trigger and a three-position safety provide a straightforward, confidence-inspiring interface for the shooter. The detachable polymer box magazine offers 5+1 capacity and features molded caliber markings for .243 Win, .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 7mm-08 Rem.
Its 20-inch cold-hammer-forged sporter barrel is free-floating, threaded, and finished with a recessed crown. A thread protector is included from the factory. The Ever-Rest bedding system supports consistent alignment between the action and stock, complementing the barrel design.
The ERGO MAX synthetic stock wears a desert digital camouflage finish with textured grip and fore-end panels for secure handling. It incorporates a Schnabel-style fore-end tip, a soft recoil pad, and sling swivel studs. The receiver is finished in desert tan, drilled and tapped for scope bases, and accepts Remington 700-pattern bases.
Proof and import markings include German C.I.P. proofs, the DE country code, the two-letter date code "BI," and the stag-antler proof house mark, along with the J. P.
