It features Glock's Gen5 updates, MOS cut with cover plate installed, front and rear slide serrations, and fixed polymer sights. Modular compatibility with G19 Gen5 MOS and G45 MOS families adds notable flexibility for slide/frame swaps.

The G47 MOS Gen5 uses a 4.49" G17‑length barrel and slide while retaining a shortened dust cover, creating a crossover profile that handles like a duty‑size pistol with broad holster compatibility. Its modular design allows slide/frame swaps within the G19 Gen5 MOS and G45 MOS families.
Gen5 features include ambidextrous slide‑stop levers, the latest Gen5 grip texture with a mild flared magwell, and interchangeable backstraps to tailor the grip size. The striker‑fired Safe Action system is paired with a 5.8 lb trigger.
The slide wears front and rear serrations, a matte black finish, and a factory MOS cut with the cover plate installed. Sights are fixed polymer with a white‑dot front and a white‑outline polymer rear marked 6.1.
Capacity is 17+1 in 9mm Luger, and this pistol includes three factory 17‑round magazines. Markings include "GLOCK 47 AUSTRIA 9x19" on the slide, with import stamp "MADE IN AUSTRIA GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA."
