This USP Compact uses a DA/SA system with a manual safety and decocker, paired with the HK Lock-Out Safety. The control lever is configured on the right side, and the bobbed hammer streamlines the profile for carry. An ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release supports quick, intuitive mag changes.
The slide is stainless and the frame is black polymer, delivering a clean two-tone finish. Grip surfaces are pebble-textured with checkering on the frontstrap and backstrap for secure handling. Fixed 3-dot sights (front fixed blade, rear fixed square-notch) provide a clear sight picture. The extractor doubles as a loaded-chamber indicator, and there is a chamber witness port.
The 3.58 in cold hammer forged barrel features polygonal rifling for consistent bore geometry. The USP Compact design keeps size and weight in check while maintaining service-grade durability.
An HK proprietary universal accessory rail is integrated into the dust cover for compatible lights and accessories. Capacity is 13+1, and this pistol includes two 13-round magazines marked "Made in Germany."
Proofed in Germany with CIP N nitro and Ulm antler marks, this example carries the DE country code and a BF date code indicating 2015 production. It bears the HKI – Columbus, GA importer mark, and major components have matching serials.
