Springfield Armory 1911-A1 GI .45, .45 ACP, 5" Forged Steel, Parkerized, Bushnell Trophy Red Dot on Side Mount, 7+1
This Springfield Armory Model 1911-A1 GI .45 pairs classic GI-pattern features with a practical red-dot setup. Built on forged steel slide, frame, and barrel with a matte gray parkerized finish, it retains the traditional GI sighting and control layout while adding a Bushnell Trophy red-dot on a non-invasive side mount. The 5" barrel includes a loaded-chamber viewport, and the slide carries Springfield's crossed-cannons crest ahead of the ejection port.

Forged construction defines this GI-pattern 1911. The slide, frame, and 5" barrel are all forged steel, finished in matte gray parkerizing for a purposeful, service-grade appearance. The barrel hood features a witness-hole style loaded-chamber viewport for quick visual status checks.
True to the GI .45 series, it retains the classic controls and contours: arched mainspring housing, short GI grip safety tang, and a left-side small-thumb safety. The slide shows rear-only vertical serrations and a standard-height (non-lowered) ejection port, with Springfield's crossed-cannons crest positioned ahead of the port.
The sighting system includes GI-style fixed irons (narrow staked front blade and small fixed rear), complemented by a Bushnell Trophy red-dot with a red reticle. The optic is mounted in rings on a side-mounted grip/frame bracket that avoids slide cuts or frame drilling, preserving the pistol's core GI configuration.
Chambered in .45 ACP, this full-size 1911 follows the single-action platform with a spur hammer and classic GI ergonomics. Capacity is 7+1 with the included single-stack magazine.
