What’s Included
- GSG-MP40 .22 LR carbine
- 1 factory GSG-MP40 .22 LR 22-round stick magazine (Made in Germany)
Patterned after the wartime MP 40, this rimfire carbine keeps the iconic profile with a metal receiver tube, barrel shroud, and a steel underfolding stock with a D-shaped buttplate. The lower/trigger housing is polymer, balancing durability with manageable weight. The straight stick magazine includes a numbered witness window, and the ejection port is on top, consistent with the pattern.
The carbine uses a semi-automatic blowback action and a 16-inch barrel inside a shroud with a polygonal muzzle collar. Its 1:16-inch twist is set up for .22 LR. Sights are traditional and practical: a hooded front post paired with a flip rear notch. An interchangeable front-sight set is noted in factory literature.
Controls include a rotary manual safety marked F/S and an adjustable trigger pull. The stock underfolds and locks, and the length of pull measures 12.5 inches. Sling accommodation is built in, with a forward sling loop under the receiver/barrel jacket and an integral rear sling slot.
Markings and origin are clear: Made in Germany with DE CIP N BE proofs and C.I.P. marks on the bolt, and imported by American Tactical (ATI), Summerville, SC. Capacity is 22+1, and this example includes one factory 22-round magazine.
