It features a gray synthetic Monte Carlo stock with a right-hand palm swell and textured grip panels, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for optics. Made in Japan and marked accordingly, this rifle brings Weatherby’s magnum performance together with practical, all-weather construction.

The Weatherguard variant applies a corrosion-resistant Cerakote-style matte gray metal finish to the barreled action and receiver, offering durable protection in varied conditions. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optics, and the sporter-contour 24 inch barrel is unthreaded with no iron sights.
The right-hand Vanguard action is Howa-made, with two front locking lugs, an external extractor, a plunger ejector, and a knurled bolt knob. An internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate provides a magnum capacity of 3+1.
The Series 2 configuration includes a two-stage trigger and comprehensive safety features with a manual safety and bolt shroud safety. Markings include VANGUARD and WEATHERBY TM PASO ROBLES, CA on the receiver and MADE IN JAPAN. The barrel is marked USE ONLY .300 WBY. MAG. (WEATHERBY MAG.).
The gray synthetic Monte Carlo stock has a raised comb and a right-hand palm swell for consistent cheek weld and control. Textured grip and forend panels enhance handling, and a rubber recoil pad helps manage magnum recoil. Sling-swivel studs are installed front and rear. Length of pull is 13.5.
