It features a tapered, round 4-inch carbon-steel barrel paired with a six-shot fluted cylinder and an unshrouded ejector rod. The action is double-action/single-action with a swing-out cylinder, providing the traditional M&P operating system.
Sights are the original fixed iron type, with a half-moon front blade and a fixed rear notch. The hammer is exposed and color case-hardened, and the trigger is smooth and narrow, also color case-hardened.
