Marlin Model 336 .30-30 Lever-Action Carbine, 18 Inch Barrel, 1980 North Haven, Blued, Micro-Groove
This 1980 North Haven-made Marlin Model 336 is a straight-grip .30-30 carbine with an 18 inch Micro-Groove barrel, classic barrel bands, and a side-ejecting, flat-top receiver. It is a clean, well-preserved example with strong original bluing and a hardwood stock that retains the Marlin "bullseye" inlay. The receiver is drilled and tapped on the top and left side, and the rifle remains in excellent overall condition.

The original deep factory bluing on the receiver and barrel remains strong with only minor, superficial handling marks. What's Included
- Marlin Model 336 .30-30 lever-action rifle (1980)
Built in 1980, this Model 336 represents the pre–cross-bolt safety configuration, retaining the traditional half-cock hammer. Its side-ejecting, flat-top receiver is drilled and tapped on top (four holes) and on the left side (two holes), providing flexibility for mounting a receiver sight or scope base as desired.
The 18 inch round carbon steel barrel features Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling and a blued finish. Sight alignment is handled by a ramped front blade (hood not installed) and a semi-buckhorn rear sight with a stepped elevator, giving a clear, traditional sight picture.
The straight-grip carbine layout with barrel bands gives this rifle a handy profile. The hardwood American walnut stock includes a white-line spacer, Marlin-logo buttplate, and the classic Marlin "bullseye" inlay. Length of pull is 13.5 inches.
Capacity is 5+1 in .30-30, and the smooth lever-action complements the rifle’s clean internal condition. Materials are all-steel where specified, with a blued receiver and barrel for a cohesive, period-correct appearance. Made in the United States, this is a well-kept example of a North Haven-built 336.
