The pistol uses Ruger’s internal hammer-fired, single-action Secure Action for a consistent trigger pull.
Factory steel tritium night sights are dovetailed front and rear, with the rear drift adjustable. The sight bodies are marked HZ H3 15 (front) and HZ H3 20 (rear), indicating tritium lamps for low-light visibility. The slide features front and rear cocking serrations and a black-oxide/blued finish.
A rigid aluminum chassis with full-length rails is housed inside a glass-filled nylon frame for stability and durability. Dimensions are practical for full-size duty use: overall length 7.24 in, height 5.0 in, width 1.02 in, with an approximate unloaded weight of 23.8 oz.
