The AS/BR stamp signifies a Brazil Law Enforcement contract overrun, adding clear, verifiable provenance to this pistol. The frame molding reads HS PRODUKT MADE IN CROATIA, matching its origin and production by HS Produkt before import and sale by Springfield Armory.
The 4.5-inch barrel is forged steel, hammer-forged, and Melonite-treated for surface hardness and corrosion resistance. The Melonite-finished slide carries front and rear grasping serrations and a loaded-chamber indicator positioned on the slide top.
Springfield's META trigger is flat-faced with an overtravel stop, offering a consistent striker-fired action. Safety features include a grip safety, trigger safety, firing pin block, and a loaded chamber indicator. A flared short magwell supports quick magazine changes, and the pistol ships with three 19-round factory magazines for a 19+1 capacity.
The polymer frame uses interchangeable backstraps to tailor grip size. A MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail with three slots is molded into the dust cover. Sights are iron: a red fiber-optic front paired with a steel rear notch featuring a tactical rack ledge. Operation is semi-automatic with short-recoil, tilting-barrel mechanics.
