The Chiappa Rhino 60DS Nebula Special Edition stands out with its multi-color Nebula PVD finish and distinctive Rhino design. This factory special edition .357 Magnum revolver pairs a 6 inch barrel and DA/SA operation with a bottom-chamber barrel alignment for a low bore axis. Made in Italy, it features integrated rails, fiber-optic sights, and an unfluted hexagonal cylinder, combining striking appearance with purposeful engineering.
The 7075 aluminum alloy (Ergal) frame wears the Nebula multi-color PVD finish that extends to the steel cylinder. A ventilated barrel shroud with elongated oval lightening cuts and the 6 inch steel barrel complete the upper assembly. The six-shot, unfluted hexagonal cylinder underscores the model’s unique profile.
Sighting is fast and precise with a red fiber-optic front blade and a fully adjustable rear sight with green fiber-optic inserts. The laminated blue/gray hardwood grips are finger-grooved and inlaid with the Rhino medallion for a secure, refined hold. The left-side, frame-mounted cylinder release offers familiar, efficient operation.
The Rhino’s barrel aligns with the bottom cylinder chamber to provide a low bore axis. The revolver uses a DA/SA action with an internal hammer and an external cocking lever for single-action shots when desired. An integrated top Picatinny rail and a short lower accessory rail offer mounting surfaces as needed.
Markings include CIP N nitro proof and Italian proof-house stamps, a "Made in Italy" marking, and the Chiappa Firearms, Dayton, OH import mark. Materials and manufacture are Italian, with a steel barrel and cylinder mated to a strong, lightweight 7075 aluminum alloy frame.
