The CS45 is part of S&W’s Chief's Special series, pairing a compact single-stack grip frame with .45 ACP power. It carries model-specific markings: the slide/frame are marked "MOD. CS45" and the barrel hood is marked ".45 AUTO."
Its DA/SA action includes an ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker for administrative handling. The external hammer uses a low-snag spur profile suited to carry and concealment.
The 3.25-inch stainless steel barrel complements an aluminum alloy frame for a durable, carryable package. The slide has rear cocking serrations only, and the frame is a clean, compact profile without an accessory rail.
Fixed, low-profile sights consist of a single white dot front and a plain-notch rear. The wraparound textured black synthetic grip with S&W medallion provides secure purchase on the compact frame. Factory magazine capacity for the CS45 is 6+1, and this example includes multiple single-stack stainless-steel magazines, including extended-base-pad options.
