The forged steel slide wears a durable black Melonite finish and is paired with a captive guide rod recoil system. The 4.5 inch hammer-forged, match-grade barrel also receives a Melonite treatment, supporting the pistol's smooth cycling and consistent performance with full-power 10mm loads.
The OSP slide cut with a removable cover plate provides a clean, ready-to-use mounting surface for compatible red-dot optics when desired, while the aggressive front and rear serrations aid slide manipulation. Sights are fixed iron: a green fiber-optic front for visibility and a black serrated ledge-style Tactical Rack rear.
The polymer frame is full-size and black, featuring ambidextrous slide stop levers and a removable short flared magwell to support confident magazine changes. A 3-slot Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover accepts compatible weapon lights or other rail-mounted accessories.
Safety features include a grip safety, trigger safety, firing pin block, and a loaded chamber indicator. Manufactured by HS Produkt in Croatia and imported/marketed by Springfield Armory (Geneseo, IL), this XD-M Elite 4.5 OSP 10mm variant was introduced in 2022 and carries proof/import markings of "HS PRODUKT, MADE IN CROATIA."
