Ruger AR-556 5.56 NATO Semi-Auto Rifle, 16 in Threaded Barrel, 1:8 Twist, Carbine Gas, Flat-Top, 30+1 (2022)
This 2022 Ruger AR-556 is a direct-impingement, AR-15–platform rifle built with a 16-inch steel barrel, 1:8 RH twist, and a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle with an A2 birdcage flash suppressor. It features a pinned A2 front sight base with an "H" forging mark, a flat-top upper with integral Picatinny rail, and hard-coat anodized aluminum receivers. The rifle is in very good overall condition with an excellent, mirror-bright bore and comes with a 30-round MFT MOD 2 polymer magazine.

The AR-556 uses a carbine-length gas system with a direct-impingement action and includes a forward assist, brass deflector, and ejection port cover. The flat-top upper provides an integral Picatinny rail, and the rear sight is not installed from the factory configuration listed here.
The 16-inch steel barrel has a 1:8 right-hand twist and a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle capped with an A2 birdcage flash suppressor. Its pinned A2 front sight base is marked with an "H" forging stamp.
Furniture includes two-piece ribbed polymer carbine-length handguards with the Ruger logo and delta ring, an M4-style 6-position collapsible stock with sling loop, and an A2-style polymer pistol grip. Length of pull is listed at 10.5 inches.
The receivers are aluminum with a hard-coat anodized matte finish. Rollmarks show Mayodan, NC, along with Ruger phoenix logos, and the lower bears a 2D matrix code. This rifle accepts standard AR-15/STANAG pattern magazines.
