This rifle is assembled on a Recreator Blanks Forty-7 stamped steel receiver that follows the AKM pattern, including magazine well dimples and a ribbed top cover. The receiver is roll-marked Recreator Blanks, Fallsington, PA / Forty-7 / 7.62x39 and has no left-side optics rail.
The build uses a 1974 Izhevsk (Izhmash) matching parts kit with a 1974-dated Izhevsk-marked trunnion and the triangle-with-arrow proof. A matching assembly number "323" is observed on the gas block and gas tube, adding consistency to the kit components.
Configured in AKMS pattern, the metal underfolding stock with twin‑pivot rear trunnion (AKMS pattern) and left‑side release, T‑shaped buttplate, locking solidly when extended or folded. The rifle wears red-stained laminated Soviet-pattern upper and lower handguards and a wood pistol grip, retaining the classic AKM look.
The 16-inch barrel is threaded and fitted with a slant compensator. Sighting is traditional AKM: an open-ear front sight base with an open post and a tangent rear leaf that includes Cyrillic battle setting and range graduations. The gas system is the standard long-stroke piston with a rotating bolt and a ventilated gas tube.
Chambered in 7.62x39 with a 30+1 capacity, this rifle aligns with AKM-format handling and controls. It includes three ribbed military-pattern steel magazines and a complete set of period-correct accessories.
