The M77 Mark II uses a controlled-round-feed system with a full-length claw extractor and fixed ejector. It features a three-position bolt-shroud safety and a right-hand bolt. Feeding is from an internal box magazine with a 4-round capacity, accessed via a hinged floorplate with a latch.
The 24-inch stainless barrel has a matte/bead-blasted finish and is topped with a cylindrical multi-port muzzle brake. The receiver is stainless with a matching matte/bead-blasted finish, and the Southport, Connecticut barrel address is present.
The composite stock includes a right-hand cheekpiece and a light blue/black web finish. A Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad is installed, and sling swivel studs are fitted. Length of pull measures 13.25 inches.
Integral Ruger scope-mount bases are machined into the receiver, and the included rings allow straightforward setup. The rifle is made in the United States and is configured without sights.
