The CZ 97 B is a full-size .45 ACP with a DA/SA, short-recoil, locked-breech system and a 10+1 capacity. Its 4.65 in cold hammer-forged barrel is paired with a screw-in barrel bushing that is specific to the 97-series design. The slide rides inside the frame rails for a tight, guided fit.
Controls and safety features include a manual thumb safety, a firing pin block, a loaded chamber indicator plunger, and a left-side magazine release. The slide has rear cocking serrations only and an external extractor.
Sights are fixed, with a pinned front blade carrying a single dot and a fixed rear square-notch set in a dovetail. This example reflects the early pre-2013 configuration with checkered wood grip panels and the solid pinned front sight.
