The SR1911 platform here is the classic full-size Government configuration with a 5-inch bushing barrel and GI recoil plug. Its Series-70-style firing system omits a firing-pin block and uses a titanium firing pin paired with a heavy spring. An integral plunger tube and a visual chamber witness port at the barrel hood round out practical, reliability-focused features.
The pistol is built entirely of stainless steel with a uniform matte stainless finish on both frame and slide. Slide details include rear cocking serrations and a lowered and flared ejection port for positive extraction. The mainspring housing is flat and checkered, while the front strap is smooth, maintaining a traditional 1911 feel.
Controls and fire-control parts are set up for confident handling: a left-side thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety with memory pad, a skeletonized three-hole trigger, and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. Capacity is 8+1, and this example includes both an 8-round magazine with an extended basepad and a 7-round flush-base magazine.
Sighting equipment is straightforward and durable, with fixed 3-dot sights dovetailed front and rear; the rear unit is drift-adjustable for windage. Checkered hardwood grip panels with Ruger medallions provide a secure grasp and a classic appearance. Factory markings include "PRESCOTT AZ," "RUGER MADE IN USA," and the Ruger phoenix crest, affirming its U.S. manufacture in 2015.
