Built around a semi-automatic blowback action, this GSG-STG44 uses a die-cast alloy receiver with distinctive StG44-style ribs and pressings, paired with a 16.25 in steel barrel. The stamped steel handguard with cooling holes and the fixed wood stock maintain the rifle’s period-correct look and feel.
Controls are faithful to the pattern, including a selector safety with "S", "F" (red dot), and "I" markings, a top-mounted non-reciprocating charging handle with bolt hold open, and a right-side spring-loaded ejection-port cover. The length of pull measures 14.25 in, and sling accommodation includes a front sling loop on the left side of the front band and a stock sling slot.
The rifle uses proprietary detachable box magazines and comes with three 25-round units. These Schmeisser-branded polymer magazines feature a thumb-assist loading slider and a numbered witness scale. Stated maximum capacity is 25+1.
Sighting equipment consists of a hooded front post and a tangent rear sight adjustable for elevation and windage. The rifle carries German proof marks (DE) and the ATI Rochester NY import mark, reflecting manufacture in Germany by GSG and importation by American Tactical (ATI).
