The HIT action uses a four-lug design with a 90-degree bolt lift and an M16-style extractor for robust primary extraction. The bolt body is fluted and capped with an oversized, vertically grooved bolt knob for confident manipulation. A spring-loaded ejection-port dust cover protects the action, and receiver markings include "SEEKINS PRECISION," "HIT," and "LEWISTON ID."
The 24 in heavy-contour barrel is machined from 416 stainless steel and is threaded 5/8x24. A 1:8 twist provides the rifling spec given, and the system is built for quick barrel changes. The design supports user-swappable bolt heads, enabling caliber changes within the platform when configured accordingly.
The rifle is built on a folding aluminum chassis with a Type III hard-coat anodized finish. It features an adjustable cheek piece, adjustable length of pull, an adjustable buttpad, a rear bag rider, and skeletonized elements to balance rigidity and weight. Length of pull is set at 13.25 in and is adjustable.
The free-float aluminum M-LOK forend offers slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, with an integral barricade surface ahead of the magwell. An integral Picatinny scope rail segment on the receiver provides a mounting surface. Feeding is via a detachable AICS-pattern magazine system with a 5+1 capacity, and this rifle includes one 5-round Amend2 polymer magazine. The fire control is a TriggerTech single-stage adjustable trigger.
