The PX9 Gen 4 uses a straight blowback system tuned for 9mm Luger, fed by Glock-pattern magazines. The bolt is marked "G4-9," and the lower is the Glock-mag variant with an extended, left-side paddle-style magazine release for positive reloads.
The 4 in steel barrel is threaded and fitted with a fluted flash-can/linear-comp style muzzle device. A short, free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard keeps the front end compact while providing attachment slots, and the full-length Picatinny top rail runs across the receiver and handguard.
The upper is a slick-side configuration with no forward assist or ejection-port cover, and the pistol carries a uniform matte black finish. PSA's crossed-cannons logo is present on the magwell, and the overall build reflects PSA's AR-9 pattern in a compact format.
Controls include a manual safety selector and a single-stage, curved, polished trigger. Furniture consists of a Magpul pistol grip and an adjustable polymer stabilizing brace with a hook-and-loop strap. Flip-up front and rear sights are installed, and the stated capacity is 31+1.
