This Government Model follows the classic 1911 pattern with single-action, semi-automatic operation in .45 ACP. The configuration includes a 5-inch barrel with a conventional solid barrel bushing and a 7+1 capacity, built on a steel frame with a blued finish.
It uses Series 70-style lockwork without the Series 80 firing-pin safety. Controls are true to form, with a single-side thumb safety, a grip safety, a checkered magazine release, a short solid trigger, and a spur hammer. An arched mainspring housing and vertical rear slide serrations round out the traditional handling cues.
Sighting is straightforward with fixed GI-style irons: a blade front and a notch rear. The checkered double-diamond wood grips provide a classic look and secure hold. The pistol is made in the United States.
