Created to honor Ducks Unlimited in 1986, this limited-edition Model 94AE XTR carries factory Ducks Unlimited game-scene engraving on a satin silver receiver. The left panel features a "DUCKS UNLIMITED" wetland/hunter/waterfowl scene, while the right panel shows a deer-in-woods motif. The DU-prefix commemorative serial block and XTR-grade fit and finish underscore its collectible status.
It is a classic carbine configuration with a 20-inch round blued steel barrel, two barrel bands, and a full-length magazine tube that is flush to the muzzle for a 6+1 capacity in .30-30. The Angle-Eject receiver is factory drilled and tapped on the left wall. The two-tone appearance pairs the blued barrel and magazine tube with a satin silver receiver, lever, barrel bands, and forend cap.
The walnut furniture is XTR grade with checkering and a straight-grip stock, complemented by an inlaid Ducks Unlimited medallion. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches. Sighting is via open sights: a hoodless ramped front blade and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with elevator.
Markings include "Winchester Proof Steel" on the barrel, along with: "Mfd. by U.S. Repeating Arms Co. — Winchester TM’s licensed from Olin Corporation, Made in New Haven, Conn. U.S.A." Manufactured in New Haven, Connecticut, this rifle reflects the USRAC production era under Winchester trademarks.
