This D-frame Colt features a 4-inch tapered round barrel in .38 Special with a six-shot fluted swing-out cylinder. It uses a left-side cylinder release and retains the classic unshrouded ejector rod with a knurled tip. The square-butt grip frame and exposed spurred hammer support double-action/single-action operation.
The revolver wears a bright nickel-plated finish on the barrel, frame, and cylinder over carbon steel construction. The nickel plating presents a striking appearance and period-correct style. This pistol has a nickel-plated finish.
Sighting is straightforward and durable with a ramped front blade and a groove in the topstrap. The barrel is marked "POLICE POSITIVE SPECIAL .38 SPECIAL CTG." and the frame carries the Rampant Colt logo. Made in the United States, this post-war example reflects 1953 production.
