This 1911-380 follows an approximately 85%-scale 1911 layout chambered in .380 ACP. It uses a locked-breech, linkless tilting-barrel system tailored to the platform, offering the familiar 1911 manual of arms in a smaller format.
The frame is a polymer/composite design mated to a 7075-T6 aluminum sub-frame and rails. A non-rail dust cover preserves the classic profile while the sub-frame provides metal-on-metal slide engagement.
Controls are true to the platform with a single-action trigger system, an ambidextrous thumb safety, and a grip safety. A skeletonized, 3-hole trigger and a commander-style skeletonized hammer complete the 1911 control set.
The slide features a two-tone finish with brushed stainless flats and a matte black top, along with diagonal rear serrations. Sights are fixed combat style: a low-profile ramp front and a plain black fixed notch rear, with a sight radius of about 5.37 inches.
Light-colored wood grips with scroll engraving and a Buckmark inlay add a distinctive Browning touch. Capacity is 8+1 with the included pair of 8-round single-stack steel magazines.
