Built on Smith & Wesson’s robust X-Frame, this Model 500 is chambered for the .500 S&W Magnum and configured with a five-shot fluted cylinder. It operates in double/single-action with an exposed, checkered hammer spur and a checkered cylinder latch.
The 8.375 inch heavy barrel is a two-piece/tensioned design with a full underlug and a serrated top rib. An integral compensator with top ports is incorporated at the muzzle, and the package is set up with a pinned ramp front blade and an adjustable rear sight.
Construction is all stainless steel, including the frame, barrel, cylinder, and receiver, in a uniform stainless finish. The ejector-rod tip is knurled, and the revolver features an internal key lock.
