This P320 M17 MS is the commercial analogue of the U.S. Army M17, configured as a full-size 9mm with a 4.7 inch carbon steel barrel and coyote tan finishes. It features an ambidextrous manual safety, ambidextrous slide catch, and a reversible magazine release, with a stainless steel receiver and polymer grip module. Included are two 21-round magazines and one 17-round magazine. The slide is cut for a removable rear-sight/cover plate; the plate is included, but the rear sight is not present, and the loaded chamber indicator is not present.

The M17 MS variant pairs a striker-fired, short-recoil, locked-breech action with a curved trigger and a robust stainless steel receiver. The polymer grip module includes an integral beavertail and a mildly beveled magwell for smooth magazine changes.
The coyote tan PVD-finished slide has front and rear cocking serrations and an external extractor. It uses a removable rear-sight plate system with an optic cut. The dovetailed metal front sight is present; the rear sight is not included, and the included cover plate cannot be installed without it.
Controls are user-friendly and adaptable: an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, ambidextrous slide catch, and a reversible magazine release. An accessory rail with three M1913 Picatinny slots supports common weaponlight or accessory mounting.
