Built at Izhmash in Russia, this Saiga 7.62x39 uses the AK‑pattern stamped‑steel receiver and long‑stroke gas piston system in a sporting configuration. It was imported by RWC Group during the final window before the July 16, 2014 sanctions halted Saiga imports, and it bears the RWC Tullytown PA import mark. The rifle also shows the Cyrillic "САЙГА" model marking along with Russian proof and inspection stamps including "PK"/"MK03" and a circled "09."
The carbine retains its sporter layout with a polymer Monte Carlo stock (rear sling swivel) and a polymer sporter handguard. A separate polymer pistol grip has been fitted. The 16.3 inch barrel has an unthreaded muzzle. Controls include the right‑side safety/selector and a bolt‑hold‑open tab. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches.
Sighting is via robust iron sights: a protected front post paired with a tangent rear sight. The receiver has no left‑side optics rail, reflecting the sporting configuration.
A TAPCO G2 trigger is installed. The package includes a 50‑round steel drum magazine and four 30‑round magazines (mixed steel and polymer types), supporting the listed 50+1 capacity.
