The 28 inch carbon steel barrel is vent-ribbed with a white front bead for a clear sight picture. It is threaded for removable choke tubes and ships with an Improved Cylinder choke installed. The 3 inch chamber accepts both 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch 20 gauge shells.
The steel receiver wears a matte black finish and is drilled and tapped with three plugged holes. The left side is marked "Remington 870," and a QR-style matrix is present next to the serial number. Twin action bars provide the smooth, reliable cycling that defines the 870 design.
American walnut furniture includes a matching forend and stock with pressed fleur-de-lis checkering. A rubber recoil pad and sling swivel studs are fitted, with the front stud integrated into the magazine cap, for practical field carry.
