The Model 37 Airweight is a compact J-frame revolver chambered in .38 Special with a 5-round cylinder and a snub-length 1.875 inch steel barrel. It uses a double-action/single-action trigger system and fixed sights for a simple, dependable setup.
This revolver is nickel plated. The steel barrel and cylinder are nickel finished, and the aluminum alloy frame is finished to match, giving the gun a consistent presentation. The hammer and trigger are color casehardened.
It retains desirable early features, including the flat-latch cylinder release and an unshrouded, knurled ejector rod. The grip frame is the J-frame round-butt pattern.
Sight arrangement is straightforward and low-profile: an integral serrated ramp front sight and a topstrap groove rear sight. Markings include "MOD-37" in the yoke cut and "AIRWEIGHT .38 SPL. CTG." on the barrel. The aftermarket pearl-style synthetic grip panels are non-medallion.
Made in the United States, this Chiefs Special Airweight represents the classic lightweight S&W snub configuration with nickel-plated steel components and an alloy frame finished to match.
