It is receiver-marked ZPAPM70 and 7.62x39mm and includes clear importer markings from Zastava Arms USA in Des Plaines, Illinois. It also features a slant-brake style muzzle device and a standard iron sight setup with a rear tangent/leaf sight and front post.

Built on the AK-47 platform, this ZPAP M70 uses a semi-automatic, gas-operated long-stroke piston system with a rotating bolt. The manual safety/selector is marked SAFE and FIRE.
The rifle is set up with iron sights, using a front post and a rear tangent/leaf sight for a familiar AK sight picture. A slant-brake style muzzle device is present.
Furniture is light-colored wood throughout, including the fixed stock, wood pistol grip, and vented/cutout wood handguards. Length of pull is listed at 12.6.
Markings include MADE IN SERBIA along with the ZASTAVA ARMS USA, DES PLAINES IL importer stamp and model/caliber markings. The serial number appears on both the receiver and bolt carrier.
