The Old Glory series features a distressed bronze finish with factory-applied patriotic engravings. The left side of the slide is engraved "Old Glory," while the right side reads "I'm mighty proud of that ragged old flag." The aluminum grips carry USA/1776 stars and stripes artwork, tying the theme together with crisp detail.
Built on a steel, full-size 1911 platform, this pistol uses a 5 inch Government-length barrel chambered in .45 ACP. It is a single-action, short-recoil operated design with a single-stack 7+1 capacity. The slide includes front and rear cocking serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port.
Sighting is straightforward and durable: a dovetailed front blade pairs with a fixed square-notch rear that is drift adjustable for windage. Control features include an ambidextrous thumb safety, a grip safety with a beavertail, a skeletonized trigger with an overtravel screw, and a skeletonized commander-style ring hammer.
Ergonomics and handling are enhanced by checkering on the front strap and the flat mainspring housing. Small parts are finished in a dark, contrasting color, and there is no lanyard loop on the mainspring housing. The pistol is marked AUTO-ORDNANCE CORP WORCESTER, MA, and the barrel hood is marked .45 ACP, reflecting its US manufacture and chambering.
