The R7 Mako is a striker-fired, micro-size 9mm designed around a closed, top-shrouded slide with a right-side ejection port. The slide is cut for a Shield-pattern micro optic and ships with a cover plate installed. Front and rear serrations aid manipulation, while the internal extractor and beveled magazine well support reliable function and smooth reloads.
The barrel is 3.37 inches, made from stainless steel, and treated with FNC/nitride for durability. Twist rate is 1:10 LH. The slide is also stainless with a dark finish, complementing the two-tone look over the tan/FDE glass-filled nylon frame.
Controls and ergonomics include bilateral takedown levers and a flat-faced aluminum trigger with an integral safety blade. A trigger safety is standard. The frame features a textured polymer grip with the molded Kimber logo and an integral accessory rail.
Steel sights are installed: an orange-dot front and a square-notch rear with two white dots, the rear marked TG-H3. Overall length is 6.2 inches, and the pistol weighs approximately 19.5 oz without a magazine. Capacity is 10+1 rounds of 9mm Luger.
