    What’s Included

    • Leather sling, installed

Built as a short infantry rifle, this MAS Modèle 1936 uses a robust bolt-action system and a fixed floorplate/internal box magazine with a 5+1 capacity. It is chambered in 7.5x54mm French and has a 22.6" barrel, delivering the classic configuration associated with the Mle 1936 service pattern.

The sighting setup pairs a receiver-mounted tangent rear sight with a hoodless front post for a clean, practical sight picture. The rear-swept bolt handle aids cycling, while the phosphate matte finish on the steel receiver and metalwork provides a uniform service-grade appearance.

The one-piece hardwood stock features a full-length fore-end with finger-groove flats and side-sling hardware, aligning with its military carry configuration. A stacking hook is located under the front-sight block to support field use.

An integral under-barrel cruciform spike bayonet is included as part of the rifle’s original design and stows reversed beneath the barrel—one of the model’s most distinctive traits.

Receiver markings include "MAS Mle 1936," and import markings read "C.A.I. ST ALB. VT" with "7.5 FRENCH." Country of origin is France, and the listed year of manufacture is 1936.
