It combines the classic P-35 profile with practical updates, including a cold hammer-forged 4.7 in. barrel, 15+1 capacity, fixed combat sights, and refined fire-control geometry without a magazine disconnect.

Forged construction anchors this SA-35: both the slide and frame are forged carbon steel, finished in a uniform matte blue. The barrel is cold hammer-forged and measures 4.7 in., using a bushingless muzzle profile consistent with the Hi-Power pattern.
The pistol is single-action, hammer-fired, and equipped with a recontoured ring (rowel) hammer designed to reduce hammer bite. Controls include an extended thumb safety, a standard left-side magazine release, and a beveled magwell to speed reloads.
Capacity is 15+1 with the included flush-fit steel magazine. Springfield’s factory work includes a tuned feed ramp and a refined trigger system configured without a magazine disconnect.
Sight regulation is handled by fixed iron sights: a plain black dovetailed front and a square-notch rear with a tactical rack ledge. Markings include a slide legend reading "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY / MODEL SA-35 / GENESEO, IL" and a frame marked "SI GENESEO IL USA" with an HP-prefix serial.
