The 35-inch octagonal barrel is blued and clearly roll-marked "KENTUCKIAN." The left barrel flat reads "ARMI SPORT – ITALY BLACK POWDER ONLY CAL. .45" with the AC maker's mark. The rifling has a 1:36 twist, and the bore presents with a clean, mirror finish.
This flintlock configuration uses a single trigger and is built as a one-shot muzzleloader. Sights are iron, with a dovetailed brass blade front and a dovetailed open-notch rear for a traditional sight picture consistent with the rifle's style.
Stocking is full-length hardwood with a straight wrist and a 13-inch length of pull. Brass furniture includes the crescent buttplate, trigger guard, serpentine sideplate, ornate patchbox, nosecap, and ramrod thimbles. The overall finish is blued/blackened, complementing the brass fittings.
