Bersa Model 86 .380 ACP Compact, Nickel Finish, DA/SA Blowback, 13+1, 3.5 in Barrel
This late-1980s Bersa Model 86 stands out as a high-capacity .380 ACP with a short production run and Argentine manufacture. It features a nickel-finished steel frame and slide, a fixed barrel blowback system, and an internal slide hold-open with no external slide stop. Import marks from R.S.A. Enterprises, Ocean, NJ, are present. Not to be confused with the Beretta Model 86 tip-up design.
The Model 86 uses a DA/SA blowback action with a fixed barrel. Controls include a left-side button magazine release and a slide-mounted safety/decocker paired with a hammer block. An exposed ring-type hammer completes the classic control layout.
This compact .380 ACP carries 13+1 rounds and uses a 3.5 in barrel. The internal slide hold-open is actuated without an external slide-stop lever, maintaining smooth lines while still locking open on empty.
Sighting is via fixed 3-dot sights, with an integral front blade and a square-notch rear. The slide has rear cocking serrations and a longitudinally serrated top rib. Black wrap-around synthetic grips provide a secure hold against the nickel-finished steel frame and slide.
