Built in West Germany, this P226 features the early stamped slide with a pinned breech block and transverse roll pin, a configuration prized by many enthusiasts of the platform. The slide is blued, paired with a black anodized aluminum-alloy frame for a classic two-tone look.
The pistol uses a traditional DA/SA action with a decocking lever and no manual safety, complemented by an external spur hammer and a curved trigger. The magazine release is the standard left-side control, consistent with the model’s original layout.
Sighting is straightforward and durable: a fixed notch-and-post setup with a white-dot front blade and a square-notch rear. The 4.4" steel barrel and full-size frame support the P226’s double-stack 9mm format with a 15+1 capacity.
Proofs and markings include German proof marks on the barrel and an importer mark from SIGARMS INC., EXETER, NH. The pistol follows the U-prefix serial format with matching slide and frame, aligning with its West German origin and production period.
