This Austrian-made 9mm features the Gen5 MOS slide with cover plate installed, fixed sights with a white-dot front, and comes with three 15-round factory magazines and interchangeable backstraps. Introduced to the U.S. commercial market in late 2023 through TALO Distributors, it brings Gen5 refinements in a compact package.

This G49 uses Glock’s Gen5 architecture on a compact frame with a flared magwell area and a stippled texture. It retains the interchangeable backstraps and deletes finger grooves for a consistent grip profile.
The slide features front and rear serrations and the MOS optics cut with the cover plate installed, providing a versatile top end while keeping the pistol ready to run as configured. Sights are fixed iron with a white-dot front.
Its crossover layout combines a G17-length 4.49 in barrel and slide with a G19-size frame, and capacity is 15+1 using the included magazines. The pistol is striker-fired and short-recoil operated in 9mm Luger.
Markings include the slide legend "GLOCK 49 AUSTRIA 9x19." and proof/import text "MADE IN AUSTRIA – GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA." A front accessory rail on the dustcover is present for compatible attachments.
