This Norinco SKS M Paratrooper is a Chinese-made, AK-magazine–configured variant with a compact 16.5-inch barrel. It is an import-marked commercial example in the C&A Virginia Beach style, with a blued steel receiver, hardwood stock, and practical upgrades that include a drilled-and-tapped receiver cover with mount blocks and a two-port muzzle brake. Originally manufactured to accept AK magazines.

The SKS M Paratrooper configuration brings AK-pattern magazine capability to the SKS platform. This example is receiver rollmarked "SKS M 7.62x39mm" and features a paratrooper-length 16.5-inch barrel. Made in China by Norinco and import-marked in the C&A Virginia Beach style, it represents a desirable commercial import configuration from the era. Originally manufactured to accept AK magazines.
The magazine system is set up for standard AK-pattern detachable magazines, and the hardwood stock is inlet for the AK-style magazine well. One 30-round polymer magazine is included, and the rifle is listed with a 30+1 capacity.
Construction details include a steel, blued receiver; in-the-white bolt and bolt carrier; and a hardwood stock with a finger groove. The wood upper handguard has three ventilation slots. Sling attachments are provided by a front sling loop under the barrel band and a rear sling swivel on the stock.
Sight regulation is via iron sights with a hooded front post and a tangent ladder rear. The action is semi-automatic, using a short-stroke gas piston with a tilting bolt. A two-port muzzle brake is installed, and the receiver cover has been drilled and tapped with two small mounting blocks.
