The M&P 9 Shield EZ M2.0 is an internal-hammer-fired, compact 9mm with an 8+1 capacity, pairing a stainless-steel barrel and slide with a black Armornite finish. The polymer frame with M2.0-style texturing provides a secure hold without added bulk.
Controls and safety features are straightforward and familiar: a grip safety, ambidextrous manual thumb safety, firing-pin block, and a top-mounted tactile loaded chamber indicator. The frame is marked "capable of firing with magazine removed," indicating there is no magazine disconnect.
Ease of operation is enhanced by rear slide wings and deep front and rear serrations that provide extra purchase for racking. The integral 3-slot Picatinny-style accessory rail offers mounting space for compatible lights or lasers as desired by the user.
